Asura Site Hensa

Shri A. Ghosh first visited the Asura site Hensa in 1944. He noticed that the ruins tops of brick walls exposed upto 1.20 meters due to cutting made by the rains. The bricks used in the wall measuring size 30.5 x 20 x 5 cm. Near the site area there is a large burial ground marked by about a hundred horizontal slabs and vertical pillars. The largest one measures 36 x 29 x 3.6 cm.From the site a large number of bones and red ware, potsherd were discovered .Ghosh identified the site as burial ground and was an Asura site in the period of early Christian era.
